There's a dreadful lack of wealthy admirers about.

Thank you -- yes, I believe that, too. It's how life continues, I think. Thank you for that link. I'll be able to visit it in a while. I haven't had many comments and am still getting used to how to "moderate" them -- thanks for reading this post.

Wow. This confirms my theory that when someone close to us dies we take on one or more of their traits--it's a way of keeping them alive. After two or three deaths I noticed the pattern in myself. So you're letting your voice, which already sounded a lot like your mother's, become even more like hers. It's something to treasure for sure.

I hope you don't mind, but here's the link to my post on this topic:http://marcys.wordpress.com/2006/10/28/keeping-them-alive/

They were other customers; I don't know why they approached me, to talk to, when there were other customers nearby. I was polite and responded to them.

Why would three random people just come up to you and talk to you. Were they people that worked there? If they weren't, were they looking for the same item as you? Are you so anti-social that you couldn't have talked back?

Oh how true. Grrrrrr.

Christmas time opening kid's toys what a nightmare. The child is screaming to play with their toy, I am armed with scissors, knives and a bottle of Valium for my nerves just to get the package open before a toddler throws a total hissy fit!!!!!!

While trying to quickly, but carefully remove the toys I glance at the Valium thinking, "Should I or shouldn't I ............ ?"
I glance back at the child with his lower lip beginning to quiver and I return a fleeting glance back to the Valium, once again the question runs through my mind, "Should I or shouldn't I ............ ?" but then a brief moment of sanity returns, "No what would his parent's think if I should dare. Damn you conscience why do you always get in the way!"

So onwards I embark with my weapons of choice to extricate the toys from their packaging's vice like grip. Finally I get the first one out, but he doesn't want that toy he wants one of the other toys that is still embedded in the package. Nooooooooooo!

Moral of the story before wrapping children's parcels - it is best to open the toy's packaging first and remove all torturous devices which immobilise the toy, it just may save your sanity. I thought I was smart I had anticipated the "No battery tantrum", but my pre-emptive plan was still thwarted.

By the way I would have been very disappointed if you hadn't have split the Apple and Eve. It had to happen - you know it did. It would have happened to me :-)
